In 2024, when Kyiv and Tampere cities celebrate the 70th anniversary of their friendship - we are proud to bring this unique exhibition to Finland.

Carefully look at these landscapes, and consider whether you recognize these places - is it Ukraine or Finland? Our countries’ landscapes are so similar that sometimes it is hard to distinguish…

“Dear Finnish friends,

I'm excited to invite you to my art exhibition in Tampere. While visiting Finland last year I enjoyed the beautiful lakes and quiet places here, which remind me a lot of home in Ukraine. When I enjoyed Finnish nature I couldn't help but recognise the familiar Ukrainian landscapes - I hope you would also be able to spot some familiar Finnish themes in the Ukrainian landscapes portrayed in my works. These similarities inspired me while I was here, though the paintings you'll see are all of Ukrainian scenes. This exhibition is also a way to help Ukraine. We are raising money to support Ukrainian paramedics who are saving lives during the ongoing war with Russia. By coming to the show, you can help make a big difference.
